Entertainment Web Site to Launch Sept. 1
Boston, MA (August 25, 2008): DefHog.com, a wide-ranging entertainment web site connecting fans with musicians, artists, actors, dancers, comedians, entertainers and the area clubs and venues in which they perform, is set to launch on September 1, 2008. DefHog.com centers around the live entertainment scene, including music, comedy, dance, theater and other performing arts.
DefHog.com includes a number of interactive features to allow fans to follow their favorite entertainers and discover new acts, including:
- Searchable Event Calendar on which musicians, bands, performers, clubs, venues and promoters can post upcoming concerts and events for free. Fans can search the calendar by date, name of band, site or geographic area.
- DefHog.com reward program, in which fans who visit DefHog.com can listen to song samples and rate the performance in order to earn points in a “piggy bank” that can be used towards rewards such as concert tickets, gas cards and other DefHog.com “swag.”
- Performer Pages, where bands, singers, comedians and other entertainers can create their own individual DefHog.com web page to post news, information and upcoming performances, as well as uploading songs.
- Venue Pages where clubs and concert venues can establish their own DefHog.com web page and list upcoming concerts and events, along with directions and information about the venue.
- Promoters and managers can use DefHog.com to promote events, market acts they represent, and discover new talent.
- Interactive features including fan-generated concert reviews, music blogs, forums and e-newsletters.
