Fred Lerdahl named CRF’s “Composer of the Year”

On November 24, 2009, at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall, Fred Lerdahl was honored with the Classical Recording Foundation’s prestigious “Composer of the Year” award.

The award was given to the 63 year old American composer for his recent recording, “Music of Fred Lerdahl, Vol. 2″ (BRIDGE 9269), a disc which includes chamber and orchestral music by Lerdahl composed during the past three decades.
